About the F/A-18  Hornet

The Hornet is manufactured by McDonnell Douglas but is now a product of Boeing. The F/A-18 is a multi-purpose airplane designed to carry out both air-to-air and air-to-ground missions.
Today, the Hornet is in service with the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and the air forces of Canada, Australia, Spain, Kuwait, Finland, Switzerland, and Malaysia.  The production of this airplane by Boeing will be maintained until  the end of the first decade of 21st century.
